Burning Man is going straight for the Vision.
It's not dependent upon an outside authority that might lose interest or find something else to be of more interest.
It's not change through political process. It's change through visionary transformation.
It's change brought about by igniting the fire of wonder that drives all great discoveries.
Burning Man is not about fixing the present state of affairs. It's about creating an entirely new world.
You can't eliminate war. You create a world where war does not exist.
You can't eliminate poverty. You create a world where poverty does not exist.
The power of love is infinite. You create a world where love can grow.
The world today is a broken thing that can never be fixed. It has to be replaced.
We must regenerate ourselves. We must create new rituals and new mythologies to accommodate new found capabilities.
Our launching into outer space, which was considered an impossibility a mere 50 years ago, has already been accomplished. We must now have the courage to continue this exhilarating and frightening adventure without procrastination.
It will be necessary for us to throw overboard outmoded, wasteful ways of living. Humanity has to achieve coherence.
We must have absolute equality across the board in order for everyone to be able to contribute to this enterprise. We will need all of the intelligence and of the energy we can muster.
